Info about next year's camp will be released in late fall.
Side by Side is an international music camp for young singers and musicians aged 7–23 who love to sing in a choir and play in an orchestra. The camp is divided into different choir and orchestra tracks that you can join depending on your specific interests and circumstances. Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and has around 2000 participants. The next camp is 11–16 June 2027.
The camp has seven orchestra tracks and five regular choir tracks. For participants who need special support in learning, we offer the function track OPEN CHOIR.

Closing Concert 2026
This year's camp had seven concerts. At the Closing Concert, our most advanced participants performed together with Gothenburg Symphony and Gothenburg Symphony Choir. The concert was live-streamed on GSOplay.se and can still be viewed on Youtube.

Schedule
At Side by Side, all tracks have different schedules. Here you can see on which days each track participates.
A more detailed, track specific, schedule is available on your track page.
ALL CAMP TRACKS
The tracks at Side by Side are divided up based on the experience you have with your instrument.
You can only participate in one track at the camp.
ADVANCED ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for at least 7 years and are about 15–23 years old.
PRE-ADVANCED ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for 6–8 years and are about 14–18 years old.
WIND & STRING ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for 5–7 years and are about 13–17 years old.
UPPER INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for 4–6 years and are about 12–16 years old.
INTERMEDIATE ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for 3–5 years and are about 10–14 years old.
BASIC ORCHESTRA
For you who have played for 2–4 years and are about 8–12 years old.
OPEN ORCHESTRA
For you who play the violin and attend a special-aid class or need some extra support while learning. Plays with BASIC ORCHESTRA.
BEGINNERS' ORCHESTRA
For you who have recently started playing and are about 6–10 years old.
YOUTH CHOIR
For you who have long experience singing in a choir and are about 16 years old or older. For tenors and basses from 14 years old.
UPPER VOICES CHOIR
For you who are a soprano or alto with experience singing in a choir and about 13–17 years old.
PRE-UPPER VOICES CHOIR
For you who are about 10–13 years old and sing soprano or alto.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
For you with choir experience and who are about 8–10 years old.
BEGINNERS' CHOIR
For you who want to try to sing in a choir and are about 7–9 years old.
OPEN CHOIR
For you who want to sing and have a functional variation and are in need of extra support during the activity.
EARLY MUSIC
For you who are interested in playing music from the middle ages or renaissance period and play the flute/recorder, violin etc.
FOLK MUSIC
For you who like to play music by ear, and are about 14 years old or older.
VOLUNTEERS' CHOIR
For you who work as a volunteer at Side by Side and would also like to sing.
SINGALONG
For you who want to join a sing-a-long with other children. Open for all ages.
